The Eucalyptus deglupta Tree
The colorful tree sheds its bark in different patches at different stages during its lifetime. As the bright green bark is exposed to sunlight, it changes color, varying from purple, blue, and orange, and finally, to red.
Ironically, the vibrantly multicolored Eucalyptus deglupta (nicknamed the Rainbow Eucalyptus) is valuable to human industry for its pulpwood, used to make paper.
